Skills Centre
The Skills Centre is a multi function training space with a simulated manufacturing/warehousing environment. The focus of 
the centre is the development of generic work skills and competencies.
A key program that will be run in the Skills Centre is the Ballarat Work Ready Card. The Ballarat Learning Exchange in conjunction with the Highlands LLEN is working towards the introduction of a Work Ready Program. This program is intended to combine the efforts of schools, training providers and local industry in order to eliminate the gap between employers’ expectations and the skills, attitudes and knowledge of prospective young employees.
The Skills Centre will provide a practical hands on environment for the delivery of training for the Work Ready Card in particular occupational health and safety training.
